Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) had constructed a walking track from Ramavarappadu Ring to Government Polytechnic College. The track is named as "Happy Street Green Walk"
Vijayawada city mayor Koneru Sridhar, Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan, Municipal commissioner G Veerapandian and other corporators inaugurated the new walking track. Different walkers associations participated in the 3K Walk.
Beautification of the highway road from Gannavaram airport to Screw Bridge was done at a cost of 6 crore. As part of this, green walking track was constructed with 11 lakh and greenery was developed with Rs.1.70 lakh.
VMC has taken necessary measures to hand over the park to either local residential welfare associations or park committees for maintenance.
