One of the UK's biggest hospital, King's College Hospital, will set up a 1,000-bed world-class medical facility in Andhra Pradesh's new capital Amaravati. They are going to lay foundation in the first week of June in Amaravati, Health City.
Also they are planning to make Amaravati as their headquarters, as they plan to set up 11 hospitals in different parts of India.
A 'Health City' of 6387.67 acres has been planned in the capital and land has been reserved throughout the city for healthcare infrastructure. A medical academy and research centres are planned at Amaravati
Leading institutions like AIIMS and the Indo-UK Institute of Health have already shown interest in setting up hospitals in Andhra Pradesh Capital Amaravati
