Finally the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) will be laid today at the premises of T.B Sanatorium at the temple town of Mangalagiri. Earlier this year the foundation is postponed two times, for various reasons. Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will attend the ceremony.

The main blocks are expected to complete by December 2018. The site of AIIMS - Mangalagiri is located in Navuluru panchayat, 4 km from the old NH-5. Government is considering laying a direct road from the National Highway through Vaddeswaram.
