The Third Collectors Conference has kicked off today in Gateway Hotel, Vijayawada. This will be held on December 14th and 15th. The main agenda would be on the economic condition of the state, agricultural sector, Infrastructure Projects, budget review for 2016-2017 and other crucial issues and the action plan. The second Quarter Performance report of the state, will be launched in this conference.

Bezawada today is going to host a special guest. Telangana CM KCR, will be visiting Vijayawada today to meet his counterpart, AP CM, Chandrababu Naidu. KCR will be inviting, AP CM, requesting him to attend "Aayutha Maha Chandi Yagam", which would be held between December 23^rd to 27^th, at KCR's Farm House in Medak.

KCR is also expected to visit Goddess Kanaka Durga on Indrakeeladri to make his vow and present gold ornaments to Durgamma.

The district Level Chekumuki Science Festival, which is organized by Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) saw a huge participation from students. The event is organized at Thumma Seeharamaiah Zilla Parishad Girls High School, Patamata, Vijayawada.

About 360 students from various schools took part in the district level competition. International Chess Grandmaster Koneru Humpy graced the event with her presence and gave away prizes

With an aim to bring out the talent among school children, MAD-o-Mania organisation has organized painting and quiz competitions. All these are Inter-School Competitions. Around 250 school children participated in the event at Siddhartha Auditorium.
