A biggest hospital in United Arab Emirates (UAE), name New Medical Center (NMC) is going to setup its hospital in Amaravati and Kurnool. NMC is going to invest Rs.12,500 crores in two phases, in these projects. An MoU is going to be signed between NMC and Andhra Pradesh government on May 2nd.

It is going to construct the hospital in two phases, which will have a capacity of 4500 beds. In the first phase it would construct a 1400 bed hospital in Amaravati and 300 bed hospital in Kurnool.

NMC will also construct a 5 star hotel and an International Convention Center in Amaravati. NMC is aiming to complete the first phase by 2019. In the second phase, it would construct 2800 bed hospitals in various parts of the state.

Andhra Pradesh government is taking steps to save the water which is coming down from Prakasm Barrage. Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, along with Irrigation officials inspected Railway Bridge in Krishna River. One of the railway bridge, just have pillars and the railway track is not layed for many years.

Irrigation officials has told that, water from Prakasm Barrage will be floating till here, but it is not used in a proper manner and the water is getting evaporated. They have suggested to build a rubber dam here, so that the water which is coming out of Prakasm Barrage can be stopped here and the water can be stored. This helps the ground water to increase in Vijayawada and also this water can serve the purpose of drinking water for Vijayawada.

Vijayawada city has now an another new restaurant "The Barbeque Pride". The Barbeque Pride restaurant is opened in Trendset Mall, with a spacious 4,350 square feet.

The main hall of the restaurant has the capacity to take 120 customers at a time in addition to two party rooms with the capacity to seat 30 persons each.

Vijayawada Kanakadurgamma poojas are started in Unites States of America (USA). These are going to be held in eight states of USA, from April 22nd to May 22nd. First pooja was performed at San Francisco. Around 300 couples have participated in the poojas.

Priests from Sri Durgamalleshwara Swamy temple at Vijayawada went to USA to perform the poojas.

rathayatra 28042016

Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanams, the chief custodian of Goddess Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri, in Vijayawada, has now initiated a programme to propagate Hindu Dharma among the people in coastal villages of Krishna district.

Beginning April 27, it will take out a rathayatra from Palle Tummalapalle village in Machilipatnam mandal and conclude it at Avanigadda on May 6. On an average, the ratha yatra will cover about five villages during the ten-day Yatra.

According to temple authorities, the focus is on small localities, mostly belonging to dalits and fishermen communities. The prachara ratham is a replica of the hill shrine of the Goddess Kanaka Durga and will have a processional idol of the Goddess.

Apart from the usual rituals performed at the temple, the priests and temple employees accompanying the vehicle will explain about various aspects and different rituals of Hindu Dharma.
