A massive 30 feet whale skeleton is found at Nagayalanka village in Krishna district, last week. The skeleton of the sperm whale is being conserved by local people. Plans are there to preserve the skeleton at Marine Park at Koringa Wildlife Sanctuary in East Godavari district. The skeleton is kept on display on the left bank of river Krishna. An enclosure was arranged by the local youth, around the skeleton. At least 5,000 visitors are coming everyday to see the 30-feet skeleton of the sperm whale which is on display. Most school children in and around Nagayalanka village are visiting.
The wildlife authorities lauded the efforts of local youth in preserving the skeleton. The skeleton being preserved will be kept for display until the wildlife authorities shift it to the sanctuary.
