As Amaravati Marathon will be held tomorrow in city and to provide traffic route to the runners, Vijayawada traffic police has made some diversions tomorrow. The traffic would be completely blocked from 4 AM to 10 AM on MG road from Veterinary Junction, DCP Bugalow, Rahavayya Park, Police Control Room, Fly Over, Sitammavari Padalu, Prakasam Barrage. The traffic will be blocked on both sides.

Vehicles from Benz Circle to Kaleswara Rao Market have to go from Nirmala Convent, Pinnamaneni Poly Clinic Road, Sikhamani Centre, Civil Courts, Challapalli Bugnalow, Railway Station, and Kaleswara Rao Market.

Vehicles from Kaleswara Rao Market to Benz Circle should travel from Old Government Hospital, Eluru Road, Chuttugunta, Bice Bar Junction, Madhu Garden, Siddhartha College Junction, Pinnamaneni Poly Clinic Road, Nirmala Convent Junction.

Vehicles from Bus Stand to Benz Circle and vice versa, will diverted from Screw Bridge, National Highway.

Drinking water supply will be stopped to some parts of Guntur city from January 11^th evening to 12^th morning. Guntur Municipal Corporation is taking up repair works to Sangam Jagaralamudi Rservoir and because of the water supply would be stopped in 30 percent of the city. The leakages will be attended and required action would be taken to fix this.

The water supply would be restored by evening of January 12^th

An introductory event on the eve of the Jio Amaravati Marathon, will be held at Dandamundi Rajagopal Rao Indoor Stadium on Saturday from 10 AM to 9 PM. The expo will provide the registered runners their kits, route maps and other information about the run. Till now approximately 5000 registered for the marathon. The Marathon will be organized in three categories 5K, 10K and 21K. The organisers DEEP, are make elaborate arrangements for Amaravati Marathon, which would have national and international standards. Every participant will be provided with a digital chip and the participants can be traced with this digital chip.

5K Run will be started by Pullela Gopichand at 6 AM. 10K Run will be started by DGP JV Ramudu at 7 AM. 21K run will be started by Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu at 7.30 AM. Celebraties who would be present at the event are Koneru Humpy, Singer Smita, Nagashourya, Sharwanand, Ram and many other will grace the event. 7.5 Lakh worth prizes would be given to the winners in various categories, by Chief Minister.

Participants have to park their vehicles at PWD Grounds and Bishop Ajarayya High School.
