Andhra Cricket Association’s three-day workshop for umpires has begun at Mangalagiri’s ACA Stadium. A total of 50 umpires enrolled in this workshop to learn new things and get trained. Not only umpires but also the scorers also will participate in this workshop and enhance their knowledge. Senior umpire of ACA Ramakrishna will lead the workshop with his expertise.
Mr. C.R. Mohan, media manager, said that umpiring career was lucrative profession and advised the budding umpires to emulate Mr. S. Venkataraghavan, former Test cricketer and Steve Buckner of Jamaica, who stood in five World Cups finals consecutively.
