The Government of Andhra Pradesh is organizing the Lepakshi Festival on February 27 and 28 on a grand scale. The festival will be an annual event and aims to promote and celebrate the Telugu language, literature, culture, traditional and folk arts and create awareness among the young generation. Hindupur MLA and film actor Sri Nandamuri Balakrishna met Sri NCBN today and extended the invitation to participate at the event.
The Lepakshi festival would showcase the unique culture, traditions and cuisine of Rayalaseema including the famous handlooms of Dharmavaram and Mudireddypalli. The tourist circuit promoting important places in Anantapur would help generate income for the drought-stricken district.
