High-Speed Hydrofoil Boats are going to Boost Tourism in Andhra Pradesh. Also these boats are also going to get manufactured in Andhra Pradesh. In the recent visit to Russia, Chief Minister has signed an MoU with JSC Alexeev’s Design Bureau and Elcom Systems Private Limited to manufacture and operate hydrofoils. Also these hydrofoils will operate both on the rivers and the sea in Andhra Pradesh, which will be a big boost to tourism.
Hydrofoils are boats which have water wings attached, and use hydrofoil technology to help them propel much faster on the water. These boats can accommodate upto 200 members. These boats which are already in Kerala, are travelling with a speed of 74 km per hour.
