Inner Ring Road (IRR) Project works of Vijayawada are going on war footing basis. The works are also going on at night. The project is targeted to complete before Krishna Puskharams. 750-metre-long flyover with four lanes at Ramavarappadu is completed. The road construction and divider words at the place where the inner ring road meets NH5, near Subham Kalyanamandapam is going on a brisk pace. The flyover at Gunadala has been complete long time back.
The inner road starts from Gollapudi, where the vehicles proceeding towards Visakhapatnam and Kolkata from Hyderabad could be diverted through the IRR without entering the city, at Gollapudi ‘Y’ junction and proceed through the Milk Powder Factory, Ajithsingh Nagar, Gunadala and reach Subam function hall on Ramavarappadu Ring Road and meet NH5. This will ease the heavy traffic at peak hours, at the main stretches at Kummaripalem, Krishna Lanka and Benz Circle
The total cost of the Inner Ring Road (IRR) Project, including that of flyover is estimated at Rs. 119 crore. RSV Constructions Private Limited is doing this prestigious project.
