The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Authority is going to observe 27th Road Safety Week between January 22nd to 28th. Minister of Transport Sidda Raghava Rao inaugurated the event. Minister of Irrigation Devineni Uma, Vijayawada Mayor Koneru Sridhar, Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan and MLC Buddha Venkanna also participated. Minister Sidda Raghava Rao flagged off motor cycle rally to spread awareness to youth, on road safety. The theme of the campaign is "Road Safety - Time for Action".
The week long campaign would include "Burra Kathalu", Pamphlet distribution, rallies and seminars across the city. Mostly all these programmes are prepared specifically for students.
