Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department is planning to launch double decker house boats in Krishna River by pushkarams. APTDC is targeting, to give a very good tourism experience to the pilgrims who are coming for a hold dip, for pushkarams.

APTDC is planning to bring two house boats by pushkarams. The cost of each house boat is approx. Rs.1 crore.

Each house boat will have two floors, and each floor will have two bedrooms. The cost of this is going to be reasonable compare the new cruise which is also getting ready for the launch next month. In view to bring this nearer to the middle class, APTDC is thinking of the fix a reasonable price.

Amaravati Tourists can now have a new experience in River Krishna. There is another feather in the cap for Amaravati. The cruise boats which will be in Goa, Kerala, have its presence now in our Krishna River. A big 120-foot-long cruise is ready to hit the waters. A brand new curise name "Champions Teena" is going to hit the waters very soon. As there is no sufficient water level in Krishna River, the organizers are waiting. The trail run of this boat is also done and once the water levels are good, this would be inaugurated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Champion Group from Bangalore has got this constructed on the banks of river Krishna near Undavalli, for the past 6 months. Workers from Uttar Pradesh have got this ready.

This would be a boost to tourism in Amaravati. Based on the response of this, Champion Group is also thinking of to construct another cruise

Chief Minister fulfills his promise made in Narasaraopet 100-year Fete, that an engineering college under the direct monitoring of JNTU Kakinada would be set up in Narasaropet.

Yesterday Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad met chief minister and explained that, 87 acres which was assigned for engineering college, has been assigned to APIIC for industries. Chief Minister has accepted to cancel the GO and allot the land to JNTUK for engineering college.

Meritorious engineering aspirants from Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam districts now can pursue their engineering at JNTUK constituent college at Narasaraopet. The classes would be start from this academic year only, in a temporary campus. A total number of 300 seats will be available in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, ECE and CSE branches.

Two top private universities Amity University and VIT University are going to start their classes from this academic year. Though the campuses are not set up, they are going to start the classes from temporary campuses.

Out of 15 private universities willing to set up campuses in Andhra Pradesh, government is keen on giving "Letter of Intent" to Amity University, VIT University, Centurion University, Fisheries University.

Amity University is going to invest Rs.425 crores for its campuses in Visakhapatnam and Amaravati. These campuses can accommodate approximately upto 11000 students in the coming 10 years.

VIT University is going to invest Rs.3400 crores for its campus in Amaravati. This campus can accommodate approximately upto 32000 students in the coming 10 years.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is keen to encourage best universities in the world and to set up their campuses in the state. Mr.Naidu also wants every big university to set up its campus in Amaravati and make Amaravati as an Education hub.

Jamalayya from Krishnalanka, Vijayawada, has shown his kind heart and donated for Amaravati Construction. Though he is a handicapped and he could not walk, he came on a wheel chair to CM camp office and donated Rs.5000/- for Amaravati.

Mr.Jamalayya does not have an own house, and moreover he is a handicapped. But his dedication towards our dream capital is adorable. He has saved this amount for many days from his expenses and finally handed over to Chief Minister.

Chief Minister congratulated Jamalayya for his kind gesture. Chief Minister also asked the officials to take the petition of Jamalayya and asked to allot a house to him, under NTR housing scheme.
