The students of Acharya Nagarjuna University, College of Engineering has invented a solar bike. This would run for six hours, if we charge with solar power for two hours. The good thing about this solar bike is that, it also has gears and can go upto 25 km speed.
Students, G. Sumali, H. Lakshmi, Y. Manjula, M. Jayadev and B. Mohan, with technical cooperation of ANU mechanical workshop technician Rajesh, made the solar gear bike.
Railtel Corporation in association with Google launched the free Wi-Fi facility in Vijayawada railway station on Friday. Nearly two lakh passengers can use the high speed free Wi-Fi facility. As part of providing the Wi-Fi facility for top 100 railway stations in the country, the Railtel Corp-oration and Google are jointly providing the services.
In AP Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam stations have been selected for the free Wi-Fi facility. The facility would be formally inaugurated by Union minister for railways Suresh Prabhu.
Vijayawada is the tenth Wi-Fi facility equipped stations in the country. The officials have introduced the service as AP's new capital Amaravati location is near the city railway station. The service has already been introduced in Pundit Nehru bus station, other big business establishments and malls in city.

Central Government has given nod for mega food park in Andhra Pradesh. This is going to be set up in Thotapalli, which is Agiripalli Mandal in Krishna District. Central government has allotted Rs.184.88 crores for this project. APIIC is also going to invest in terms of equity of amount Rs.104.88 corers, which is 56.73 % of the total project. Central Government is going to give a grant of another 50 crores. Also Central Government has given permission to take another 30 crores loan.
APIIC Food Park Limited is going to be the name of the project.
