While the traditional Cock Fights and Bull Race evokes good response all over Krishna and Guntur District, on the other side Nagayalanka in Krishna District is in the news for Boat Race. The boat race which would be held for every festival in Krishna River, is getting a good response from citizens.
Assembly Deputy Speaker Mandali Budha Prasad started the race. 10 teams have particpated in the race, where for each team there are five members. The teams have to row the boat for one KM. The team headed by K. Veera Raghavayya of Nagayalanka village, won the race, while the teams of T. Balu and Nageswara Rao stood second and third respectively.
