A cold war is taking place between Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and Railway officials over a canal in Vijayawada. Vijayawada Municipal Corporation was laying in a canal in railway land and the permission was taken after discussing with the railway officials but the DRO who is new had stopped the canal works.

This got the anger of VMC and they have seized the Railway Police station, where the railway police station in Vijayawada, which is at KL Rao park are not clearing the Tax of Rs 12 crores.

Central Government has given a fresh jolt to Amaravati. Already with series of central government statements, the people of Andhra Pradesh are very disappointed over center.

Yesterday there is a disappointment statement from Deputy Finance Minister Jayanth Sinha that, there are not going to give any incentives to the investments made in Amaravati.

Minister replied to the question asked by Vijayawada MP, Kesineni Nani. Kesineni Nani in his question, asked to declare Amaravati as Backward area and give excise exemptions. He also asked to invade the tax to farmers from the income they get on the land, which they will get in land pooling. Kesineni Nani also mentioned that, this is there in the bill to give incentives to the investments made in new capital of Andhra Pradesh

Replying to this said that they can’t give any special incentives to Amaravati, because this will create trouble in other region and this will also lead to economic disturbance. But, they have also betrayed the farmers who have sacrificed their land for Amaravati. The Center is not ready to give even tax excemption to the farmers who have sacrificed their land.

The date has been set for shifting the Andhra Pradesh secretariat employees from Hyderabad to Amaravati to the new transitional headquarters. Government has decided that June 27th is a auspicious day. Though earlier it thought of shifting on June 15th, now the date is revised.

Government is confident that, by then the G+1 construction would be completed and the employees can start working from here.

Approx. 12000 employees are working in Hyderabad and 90% are expected to come by June 27th. Already Chief Minister has accepted for the demands of 30% HRA and 5 day week.
