AP Tourism Development Corporation is planning to set up a new convention center in Haritha Berm Park, on the banks of river Krishna. The convention center is going to come up with a seating capacity of 1000 people. This is going to come in 2 acres of land. AP Tourism has send a proposal on this to the government and the government is also on a positive side, to go ahead with the convention center.

There is a high-voltage power line going across in this area. This is going to be removed, as this is passing through the site of Kanaka Durga Flyover. AP Tourism has requested collector not to use this space for any other purpose and asked to allot that space to AP Tourism only.

Right now, The Haritha Berm Park was developed in the year 2000. It has 30 rooms, including six non-AC rooms. Of the 30 rooms available, only 10 have waiting lounges. Of these, four are non-AC. There are five blocks, each housing not less than four rooms. A bar and restaurant, boating facility, conference halls, and an open lawn for functions are some of the facilities available there.

Andhra Pradesh government have decided to focus more on IT promotion and on this regard Chief Minister has asked the officials to come up with an action plan to make Vizag, Amaravati and Tirupati as IT Hubs. The government was prepared to allocate land for development of IT sector in these three cities

Leading IT Company, Cognizant is showing interest to setup its company in Andhra Pradesh. The team of Cognizant also done a field visit in Vizag and Tirupati, for proper location and also to analyze the infrastructure available here. The company is planning to set up seven lakh square feet office space. Cognizant Vice President will meet Chief Minister very soon and come to a conclusion on the location. Chief Minister has instructed to create Millennium Towers in Amaravati and Tirupati also. In Visakhapatnam, it is already under construction.

On the other side, government is taking back the lands given to Tech Manidra and Wipro, where the operations are not started by those companies, though the government has given the land long time back.

TDP Chittoor MP Siva Prasad who is well known for his variety protests have staged yet an another variety protest at Parliament with Dr. BR Ambedkar getup, demanding PM Modi government to provide Special Status to Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to the media, he said that, the constitution is amended many times in this country and there is no problem if we amend the constitution once again for special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Government is going to benefit with yet an another help to the Farmers who have given their lands to the construction of Capital Amaravati. Government is going to start allotting the flats to the farmers very shortly. According the master plan, the farmers in specific zone can only do small local business and they cant give away their space to commercial business.

But now government has given assurance to the C-2 Flat owners that, they can do any big business like super markets, hyper markets, whole sale business, hotels, colleges and any other big commercial establishments.

Also the R-3 flat owners can construct group houses, apartments, Eating Outlets, Convenient Stores and there would be no restrictions on this also, said the CRDA officials.

CRDA officials are assuring that, the flats would be allotted according the zones mentioned in the master plan and according to the zones, the farmers can use their flats given and there would be no restriction.
