Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra has met with a car accident in Guntur. This incident took place, after he has concluded his Prakasam District tour, and returning back to Vijayawada.

On the return Journey at Acharya Nagarjuna University, near Khaja Toll Plaza, the car lost control and turned off. Including Minister, driver and three others are in the car. Immediately they are rushed to Manipal Hospital.

Minister has very small minor injuries and is recovering well.

Andhra Pradesh E-Agriculture Project has won the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2016 prize at Geneva. International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Secretary-General Houlin Zhao announced the prize. The prize has been received for e-Agriculture category.

To explain in brief about this project, Andhra Pradesh government is collecting climate data from the farms and sending personal SMS to the farmers about the climate information. This data is used to create advisories and alerts on irrigation schedules and pests and plant disease. Based on them state agriculture officers send out personalised crop advisories in Telugu to farmers by SMS. This project is running on a pilot basis in Anantapur District.

Arun Jaitley Statement on Andhra Pradesh Special Status in Parliament Disappoints Andhra People. He repeated the same story saying that government has helped Andhra Pradesh in all the best possible ways. He has listed out all the promises, allocations made to Andhra Pradesh. Mr.Jaitley also told they would continue to help Andhra Pradesh.

But, in his speech he did not mentioned anywhere about special status to Andhra Pradesh, which every body in the Andhra Pradesh is waiting for.

After ITC shifted its agri division from Hyderabad to Guntur, it is time for other big players to shift their presence from Hyderabad. One Amount them is Ashok Leyland. Ashok Leyland is asking the Krishna District administration to give a land about 100 acres for its body building unit. It is planning to shift this from Hyderabad to Krishna District.

Ashok Leyland has proposed to invest around 1000 crores, if the administration provides the required land. APIIC has a land bank of 3200 acres in Krishna district. District administration is thinking of to provide the land in Mallavalli Village, in Krishna District. As the APIIC has a big land bank in this area and also most of it is government land, district administration almost confirmed to give the land here.

With this Ashok Leyland plant being set up here, there will be a huge employment to the locals.
