As part of the nation-wide Intensified Pulse Polio Campaign, Pulse polio campaign will be held tomorrow on, February 21st 2016. Preparations regarding the same have already been made across Krishna and Guntur District. Around 5,000 centers are set up in Krishna district, which will function from 7 am to 5 pm. It is estimated that 3.9 lakh infants would be covered.

Children below five years of age can visit one of the 5,000 centers set up in Krishna district to get the infants immunised under the Pulse Polio programme on Sunday. 90 mobile teams have also been deployed to administer the vaccine to children at railway and bus stations. The vaccination of infants at the Pulse Polio centers will be followed up, during which the workers will go door-to-door to administer the vaccine. The workers will again search for children below five years of age who are left uncovered by the drive. Asha and Anganwadi workers, DWCRA group members, Urban Health Workers and medical officers will take part in the Pulse Polio programme.

All children in the age group of (0-5) years given 2 drops of polio vaccine in the first round on January 17 should be given the drops during the second round on February 21.

The prestigious KKR Happy Valley School has been Inaugurated by Chief Minister today in Aagiripalli. This is supposed to be the first international schools in Krishna District. Along with Chief Minister, Irrigation Minster Devineni Uma, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Eluru MP Maganti Babu, Krishna District Collector Babu and other dignitaries have participated in the inauguration.

The campus is spread over 30 acres with lush green trees surrounded by hills. Admissions are open for 4th to 10th class and School can have admissions capacity upto 1000. The estimated cost of the project is approximately around Rs.75 crore

The 3D model of Amaravati design which is prepared for foundation ceremony of Amaravati, is still getting huge crowds. Officials are taking care of this model and have added a permanent structure to protect it. Arrangements are made so that the dust will not spoil the design. Barricades are arranged around the design. Still many visitors are coming to see their dream capital.

The 3D design clearly locates as to which facility or project comes within which limits of the villages. The design also presents a clear picture on the areas where the Assembly, Secretariat, Ministries, State Gallery, Canal parks and other facilities have been proposed. In the water body areas falling within the capital region, the design shows the proposed projects such as wetland park, jetty downtown and downtown core. The entire 3D design has 27 components. Entire model showcasing buildings, roads, railway line, rail/road bridges, flyover bridges, metro network, important land marks like Assembly, Rajbhavan, Secretariat, High Court, University, Parks and Green Fields, Water bodies, electrical networks and street lights.

Many farmers are bringing their entire family members to have them realise that their land is being used for some facility in Amaravati.

A new causality ward was opened by Health Minister in Vijayawada Government Hospital. Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan also participated in the programme. Minister has seen all the new facilities and infrastructure in the causality ward. Speaking on the occasion Mr.Srinivas said that, government is promoting super specialty infrastructure in Government hospital.

Parinaya Exhibition and sale, is inaugurated at Amma Kalyanamandapam near Moghalrajpuram, Vijayawada yesterday. All kinds of apparels, jewelry and other fashion items are displayed in the exhibition. The items also include handloom sarees, Designer Blouses, Wedding Collections, Foot Wear and gift accessories. Designers from Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai showcased their items in the exhibition.

The exhibition will be on February 19th, 20th and 21st. Visitors can come to the exhibition between 10.00 AM to 9.00 PM
