Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stone for the Andhra Pradesh Medical Technology Park, the first of its kind in South Asia, on August 19.

The medi-tech park, is coming up in an extent of 270 acres in Nadupuru village under Peda Gantyada mandal, close to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The Park will house a common manufacturing centre which would act as a hub for the SMEs sector enabling it to flourish as a cluster.

After the foundation laying ceremony, the Chief Minister would meet 200 investors who have expressed their interest to start their respective units. The meeting will be held at Ukkunagaram Club.

Students from various colleges in Vijayawada has come forward to volunteer for Krishna Pushkarams. About 4000 students from various colleges gathered in Indira Gandhi Stadium.

Commissioner of police Gautam Sawang addressed the students at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium during selection of pushkar sevaks in Vijayawada. He said that the police would provide necessary training to the Pushkar Sevaks on how to assist the pilgrims. Mr Sawang appreciated the services rendered by the students in making the city poster-less. He urged the students to show the same spirit while serving the pilgrims.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised woman belonging to Guntur district. Sk. Shamshun, from Bollavaram village of Muppalla mandal in Guntur district has presented a toilet to her daughter-in-law on the occasion of the marriage.

Her family members used to go to open areas for nature’s call. She has perform marriage to her and decided to construct a toilet inspired from Swachh Bharat mission and presented the toilet to daughter-in-law.

The Central Government is publishing a newsletter on Swachhta Bharat mission from this August and the story of Shamshun was published in the inaugural issue in which Mr. Modi praised the guntur woman.
