With Krishna Pushkarams just 20 days away, Government and the contract company of Durga Flyover are making sure that the four lane round from Kmmaripalem,to Bhavanipuram would be ready by this month end. District administration is very keen on completing the four lane connect road.

Taking in view of pushkarams, the contract company has concentrated on building the road, than the flyover. So all the pillar works are stopped and the complete focus is on completing the four lane road. Pillar Laying works would be resumed after Pushkarams.

As the four lane highway road would be connecting Kummaripalen and Prakasam Barrage adjacent to the main bathing ghats, this would be very helpful and comfortable to the pilgrims.

Also the road connecting Gollapudi and Chitti Nagar is also being widened. This would be used as an alternative route.

Written Test:
The Preliminary Written Test will be held on 16.10.2016(SUNDAY) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM.(3 hours). The registered candidates may download their Hall Ticket from the website 10 days before the date of Preliminary Written Test.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
The candidate must hold, as on 1st July, 2016, Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, as on 1st July, 2016, he/she must have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognised by the State Government and should have studied Intermediate and appeared for the Intermediate Examinations in both the 1st year and 2nd year.

Age Limit:
Must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years as on 1st July, 2016 i.e., must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1986 and not later than 1st July, 1998.

Physical Standards:
Men
a) Height: Must not be less than 167.6 cms.
b)Chest: Must not be less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.

Women
a)Height: Must not be less than 152.5 cms
b)Weight: Must not be less than 40 kgs

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has come up with an initiative to transform the city into poster-free and wall writing-free zone ahead of Krishna Pushkaralu.

In this regard, the VMC launched Transforming Vijayawada campaign. Students from schools and colleges in the city came forward to support the initiative taken up by the corporation.

Margam, a city-based Voluntary Organisation, has taken up the task of making the city into poster-free and wall writing-free zone.

As part of the campaign, voluntaries are removing the wall posters in public spaces, including MG Road, Benz Circle, Raghavaiah Park, railway station, flyovers and government offices. They are painting up the dirty walls with beautiful murals.

Lets co-operate with their good work and don’t spoil them again and keep our Vijayawada Clean and beautiful.
