Tallyapalem Ghat, which is in the capital region is ready way before the deadline for Krishna Pushakaram. This is the first ghat to get ready, way before the deadline laid by government. On the other hand, the ghats in Krishna and Guntur District are working round the clock, this Tallyapalem Ghat is ready and now started the beautification works. The works are started in around May end and completed within 45 days.

Tallyapalem Ghat is expected to get around 50000 to 80000 devotees per day. As this is very nearer to Capital Foundation Area and also near to Velagapudi, where the temporary secretariat construction is going on, many visitors are expected to come to this ghat. Ghat is built around 1 KM length.

With the decrease in VAT on sale of cellphones in Andhra Pradesh, from 14.5 per cent to 5 per cent, Cellphones costs are going to reduce drastically and avail to costumers in a cheap price. As the neighouring state of Telangana, Karnataka, are having only 5% VAT on cellphones, compared to Andhra Pradesh 14.5%, costumers are buying the phones from those states. This led to grey market operations where phones were sold without bills and at discounted prices. Commercial Tax officials stated that they had noticed a few cases of sellers buying phones from nearby states and selling them at a higher price in Andhra Pradesh.

According to officials of the department, the revenue generated from tax on cellphones is nearly Rs 250 crore annually. Higher VAT also meant people in urban areas preferred online shopping than buying from a local shop. Most of the e-commerce sites charge 5 per cent VAT on mobiles. Discount offers are also a big factor in people giving a big thumbs-up for online shopping.

Because of all these things, though the revenue for the government would be decreased, to help the middle class, government has reduced the VAT to 5%. The VAT is reduced, Not only on cell phones, but also charges and phone batteries.

sea plane services andhra 12072016

Stage is set for a new innovative, tourism project in Andhra Pradesh. For the first time in the country, sea planes are going to be introduced in Andhra Pradesh.

Chennai based, Sky Choppers Logistics Private Limited has come forward to take on this project. In the CII Partnership Summit held in Vizag, the company has come into an MOU with Andhra Pradesh Government to run the tourism project.

These services would be starting from September. The seaplane services would be run between Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam via Kakinada. The seaplane would land on the Prakasam Barrage in Krishna River at Vijayawada. In Vizag, it will land near old Municipal office at Bheemunipatnam.

Around 12 persons can travel at a time, in these planes. The fare of the ride between Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam via Kakinada is around Rs.2000 and for two way it is Rs.4000.

Sky Choppers Logistics Private Limited is well experienced in Hel-Tourism in Vaishondevi, Amarnath and Badrinath. They have bought these sea planes from USA, where the cost is around 18 crores.

gannavaram airport growth 13072016

Gannavaram Airport which is the Airport of capital region, has shown a rapid growth in the first quarter of 2016, compared to first quarter of 2015.

The number of aircraft movements had gone up to from 1,621 in April-June 2015 to 2,888 in the corresponding quarter of 2016.

The passenger movements between April and June 2015 were 92,103 and it touched 1,43,758 in the current year of April and June 2016.

The number of passengers who travelled through the airport in 2015-16 was 3,96,579 and it was set to cross six lakh by the end of FY 2016-17

Overall there is 50% increase in the passenger and air traffic.

Right now there are 36 flight schedules running every day from Gannavaram Airport.

amaravati govt quarters 12072016

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) is now planning to construct government quarters for the employees, Ministers and legislators in Amaravati.

There would be separate quarters fro Judges, Senior Judicial Official, IAS and the employees.

  • Judges, Senior Judicial Official, IAS officers would get duplex houses with 3-4 bed rooms, of 3,500 feet plinth area.
  • Other employees would be accommodated in G+9 apartments.
  • MLAs and the MLCs will have 3,500 feet plinth area in the group apartments.
  • Gazetted officers would get a flat of 1800 feet plinth area
  • Class IV staff would have 800 feet plinth area

CRDA had roped in three senior officers from the State Housing Board to work on the housing project. Once the government allots the land, the work would be started.
