Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has cleared 9 mega industrial projects. The Investment Promotion Board, headed by Chief Minister has cleared this. The total investment of these 9 mega projects are of Rs.7,330 Crore. Through these 9 mega projects, employment opportunities will be created to about 10,045 people.

Below are the projects:

  1. Greenply Industries which produce Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) will set up its unit in Chittoor district, with an investment of Rs.758 crore. They would provide employment to 225 people.
  2. Deccan Fine Chemicals will set up Chemical production unit in Visakhapatnam district, with an investment of Rs.1200 crore. They would provide employment to 400 people.
  3. Enlivening Technologies will set up Aerospace and Defense Cluster in Anantapur, with an investment of Rs.570 crore. They would provide employment to 650 people.
  4. Suzion Energy will set up Renewable Energy Equipment cluster in Anantapur, with an investment of Rs.545 crore. They would provide employment to 2500 people.
  5. Bharat Forge will invest Rs.1,400 crore to set up an automotive Industrial park in Anantapur district. They would provide employment to 3645 people.
  6. Arrow Cables Company will set up power distribution products unit in Krishna district, with an investment of Rs.510 crore. They would provide employment to 400 people.
  7. CCL Products (India) also will setup food processing unit in Chittoor district, with an investment of Rs.260 crore. They would provide employment to 125 people.
  8. Indian Global Company will set up gold refinery unit in Krishna district, with an investment of Rs.87 crore. They would provide employment to 100 people.
  9. Kothavalasa Infra Ventures will set up an industrial park in Vizianagaram district with an investment of Rs.2,000 crore. They would provide employment to 2000 people.

forensic lab vijayawada 23072016

Foundation stone was set for the Forensic Science Laboratory by DGP J.V. Ramudu at the Regional Science Laboratory on Mahatma Gandhi Road. Addressing the media, the DGP stated that due to the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, there was need for the new forensic laboratory for the state to deal with the cases related to DNA, cyber forensics, explosives, narcotics and many other facilities as it is in Hyderabad FSL now.

In order to facilitate these facilities in the state, a new building is being built with Rs.2 Crore added with Rs.30crore lab equipment. He said that the new building will be fully equipped after inauguration.

The big industries are eying on the Guntur district for expansion of their businesses in view new capital Amaravati establishment. The National Collateral Management Services Ltd (NCML) inaugurated its state-of-the-art cold storage facility at Guntur on Thursday Inaugurating the facility, NCML chief executive officer and managing director Sanjay Kaulsaid that the warehouse facility has been constructed to benefit the large chilli farmers as they can get a platform for scientific storage of practices which will preserve their produce at the best possible quality and enable them to catch the good marketing environment.

He mentioned that the warehouse, which has been built at a cost of Rs.9.45 crore has the capacity to hold 4,000 metric tonnes (one lakh bags, weighing approx. 40 kg each can be stored at NCML's facility) will surely help the chilli growers.

Later, a seminar on NCML India Commodity Connect-2016 was organised which discussed on different subjects of interest specific to the industry in the coming years. The panelists discussed on key industry trends, emerging opportunities and newer challenges. The speakers hoped for swift development of Guntur due to the establishment of new world class Amaravati, attracting big players of the industry. They opined that as already the Spices Board started functioning from Guntur, soon the city would switch into an industrial hub with the entry of more industries in the coming days.

The Andhra Pradesh will have Rs.23,000 crore Malaysian investments. Around seven MoUs were signed in Kaula Lumpur on Thursday. In the "Asian India business leadership summit” held at Kaula Lumpur, the delegation led by minister for youth services, labour and employment Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, had detailed discussions with the representatives of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Following the discussions, several Malaysian companies have come forward to invest in Andhra Pradesh.

The Malaysian biodiesel association (MBA) has expressed its willingness to set up oil palm related bio diesel products project in Andhra Pradesh. The MBA has arrived into an MoU with APEDB in this regard, which will facilitate employment to 5,000 people, with an investment of Rs.6,713 crore.

Anta Strategic services has expressed its interest to set up reproductive fuel project with in initial investment of Rs.167.50 crore in AP. It has reached an agreement in this regard with AP Economic Development Board (APEDB).

The Malaysian police cooperative corporation companies - Protasco Berhad and Kop Mentap Berhad - have also signed an MoU with APEDB, to set up water purifying project in AP with Rs.3,360 crore estimation.

Malaysian commerce and industries minister Mustafa Mohammed has suggested to the APEDB to set up an office in Malaysia for better cooperation.
