Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) is thinking of to launch APL-Andhra Premier League, on the lines of Indian Premier League.

The same formula has been succeed in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) launched by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

This way ACA is thinking that the game would be spread in Rural Areas and the stadiums near by would be developed. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) giving its nod to the affiliated State associations.

ACA is thinking of to take the help of local companies, educational institutions, real estate outfits and shopping malls to generate sponsorship. Also it is planning to rope in the local cultural troupes, musicians and dancers to add the glamour.

The AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC), has come up with an attractive scheme to its passengers, who are going for Tirupati Darshanam.

To have hassle-free and immediate darshan to visitors who travel by RTC buses to Tirumala, RTC has brought ‘Seeghra Darshan’ scheme.

Under this, people going to Tirumala will have the facility of buying a ‘Seeghra darshan’ ticket worth Rs. 300 along with RTC ticket.

The ‘darshan’ tickets will be made available in all APSRTC reservation counters, authorised agents’ counters and online. The TTD will facilitate ‘darshan’ of the Lord to them in two batches, 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., everyday.

People who buy the ‘darshan’ tickets must approach the RTC staff posted at the Balaji bus station at Tirumala two hours before their scheduled time.

The staff will take them in a special bus to the temple and ensure a hassle-free immediate ‘darshan.’

The prestigious Pattiseema Project has got a breach in Polavaram Right Canal. The breach has occurred near in Pallelamudi Village, in Nuziveedu mandal of Krishna District. The water from Pattiseema Project is being flowed to Krishna District through Polavaram right canal.

Government came to a conclusion that, the breach was done on purpose by some anti-social elements to defame the government. Irrigation officials, also confirmed that the breach is not formed on its own and some body has done this wontedly. A police case is also registered in Nuzvid Rural police station and the enquiry is going on.

B. Chiranjeevi Reddy, from Tirupati, who is 45 years old suffered a massive stroke. After he was declared brain-dead by the doctors of the SVIMS, his family came forward for organ donation.

Arrangements were made by the hospital authorities to transport his heart, liver and kidney to patients at Nellore, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam.

The heart was sent to Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad by Air India flight, liver to  Visakhapatnam by Air Costa flight. One kidney was sent to the Narayana Hospital in Nellore by road and another will be transplanted to a patient at the SVIMS.
