M.Rajanna Pantulu, has started "Jahana Couriers" in 1992. Since then he is doing his job on the cycle. The long awaited Machilipatnam port is going to be a reality soon. Andhra Pradesh government has cleared the construction plan for the port and it is going to lay foundation stone for the port very soon.

The Machilipatnam will come up on public-private partnership (PPP), with a total cost of Rs.11,924 crores. The land pooling for 4,500 acres, will be started very soon.

The deep water port will have 26 berths. The construction of the port will be done in two phases. The first phase would be completed by 2018, where 15 berths will be ready. This can handle upto 45 million tonnes of cargo. The second phase would be completed by 2022, where it can handle 100 million tonnes of cargo.

The port will be designed to handle ship weight of up to two lakh tonnes. That will be the highest capacity for any port in the state. Vizag port can handle up to 1.7 lakh tonnes.

Navayuga group will take up the project in PPP mode. Guizhou International Investment Corporation (GIIC) of China is preparing the master plan for Machilipatnam port.

APSRTC is looking into new innovative initiatives to earn revenue. It is following the strategy of flight bookings. Normally in the days of Tuesday, Friday and New Moon Day, very few would travel and Flights would give upto 50% discount on these days.

In APSRTC also, many services would be cancelled on these days, due to less number of passengers. So APSRTC is also following this strategy. APSRTC is giving upto 50% discount on Tuesdays and on New Moon Day. This would be very helpful to the citizens who would have no sentiments, as they can avail upto 50% discount on the tickets.

APSRTC is thinking that, in this way, it would get upto Rs.70 crore additional revenue every year because of this discount.

Yesterday Andhra Pradesh BJP has held a co-ordination meeting, headed by BJP national secretary and its state party affairs in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh. After the meeting the state BJP leaders claimed that, Center has given 1.7 cores and they are asking the state government to show the accounts for the amount spent on this amount. But BJP state leaders even did not have a minimum common sense that, those are just the statements given and not even the allocations are made in the budget for many of the promises made.

Just 10 days back, Arun Jaitley in the floor of the house declared that, center has given 6403 crores to Andhra Pradesh. Then it is a simple logic that, how State BJP leaders are asking to show the accounts for 1.7 lakh crores. State BJP leaders seem to be struggling to defend the center’s cheating to Andhra Pradesh and bringing out these ridiculous arguments.

In a reply to a question asked by Anakapalli TDP MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao about the special status, the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has replied during the Zero hour in Lok Sabha on May 4th 2016.

Finance Minister himself replied in the floor of the house that, the additional help done to Andhra Pradesh is around Rs. 6,403 crores to assist the State financially.

These funds include, Rs. 2,805 crores as a compensation for revenue deficit, Rs. 2,050 crores for the capital Amaravati, Rs. 850 crores for Polavaram project, Rs. 700 crores for backward regions.
