Andhra Pradesh government's General Administration Department (GAD) issued GO No 2072 for providing tentative space for various government departments in temporary Secretariat at Velagapudi in Guntur district on Tuesday.

The GO delineated specific space allotment for various government departments in building numbers and room numbers. As per the GO, the officials should start full-fledged functioning from October 3. Office space has been allotted to all the departments, specifically for Ministers, chambers for secretaries, special secretaries and other purposes at all the five building blocks in the Secretariat complex.

Meanwhile, Secretariat Employees Association says that the staff would start working from the said date. Association president Murali Krishna said that as many as 33 departments of employees would start their work on October 3. "Computers are arranged and every employee has their personal computers. Files are already scanned and could be installed before the employees start functioning," he said.

Meanwhile, the workers are busy in giving the final touches to the buildings. Out of the 6 blocks, one is for CM office and his officials and the other for Assembly and council and the remaining 4 are for various departments. Meanwhile, Chief Minister will move to his new chambers in block 1, on Dasara October 11th.

vijayawada IRR works 28092016

Work on replacing the Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) System has been completed at Vijayawada railway junction. The works are completed before the stipulated time. The old signalling systems on all the platforms are removed, and now all the 10 platforms can receive the trains at a time, due to this inter-locking signalling system.

Now passengers would not get the problem of halting the trains at the city outskirts. With this inter-locking signalling system, the drivers will get prior message about the vacant platforms, and the train can go to any of the 10 platforms, according to the vacancy.

Also 24 Coaches trains used to come on only platform numbers 1,6, and 7. After these works, all the 10 platforms can take these trains.

Almost 1000 railway workers, and 1500 contract labour has participated in the works round the clock and completed a day before the schedule.

Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu will formally launch these services in October first week, though these are coming to operational from today.

Amrita University, run by Mata Amritanandamayi Trust, is going to set up a world class medical university at Amaravati, the new Capital region of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 119 acres of land to the Amrita University, as said by Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao.

In the first phase 18,000 students would study, where residential facilities also would be provided. In the second phase 25,000 would study in the campus. In the first year Amrity University is going to invest 65 crores, in three years 165 crores and in five years around 420 crores.

Courses like science, engineering, management, humanities would be available. The Trust will also set up a 2,250-bedded “multi super speciality” hospital, research and healthcare complex attached to the university.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, participated in the World Tourism Day Celebrations held at Bhavani Island. Addressing a meeting at Bhavani Island on the occasion of World Tourism Day, the Chief Minister said that Andhra cuisine has to be altered according to tourists to savour local food. "We need to do value-addition and add some nutritional value to our food," he added. "We have Konaseema, Papikondalu, a good number of famous temples, not to forget one of the richest — Tirumala; the Kadapa dargah, Amaravati where Buddhism flourished before it spread to other places, the Kanaka Durga temple in the city, the Srisailam temple, Gandikota, and Lepakshi."he added

appsc jobs notification 28092016

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will issue a notification to fill 256 posts in various departments before September 30th.

APPSC chairman P Uday Bhaskar said examination for these posts could be conducted in two phases. If the applications cross the 25,000 mark, a screening test will be conducted or else, only one exam will be held. Screening test will be in the Conventional method, whereas the mains Will be held online.

The Commission has decided to introduce negative marking in all the examinations being conducted by it on the lines of the Union Public Service Commission.
