Andhra Pradesh Congress Party is all set to work from Capital region. They have set up their state headquarters in the ground floor of Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada. AICC general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Digvijaya Singh will inaugurate the new PCC office at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan on February 19th.
Certain changes were made to Andhra Ratna Bhavan to create more space for parking and for conducting meetings. The steps that were on the left hand corner have been shifted to the front so that the space behind the building could be used for parking vehicles.
Digvijay Singh would be in Vijayawada for four days and participate in the party coordination committee meeting, training programme for the SC, ST, BC and minorities.
Abnormal hike of Chilli prices according to the variety is taking place for the past few days which is benefiting chilli farmers and traders. The highest price of chilli normally was Rs.7000 to Rs.8000 per quintal and it has been now increased to double at Rs.14000 to Rs.15000 per quintal. Guntur district is the largest producer of chilli in India and this price hike is going to help chilli farmers who were facing losses till now due to poor prices.
But interestingly cill price which touched to record of Rs.15800 on Monday. One of the chilli trader said that the chilli harvest largely decreased in Madhya Pradesh and other states. Hence, the chilli traders concentrated on Guntur chilli market and purchasing chilli.
Meanwhile in the retail market the chilli price increased to Rs.180 to Rs.240 per KG. As this is the Mango pickle season, this may affect the public as chilli is a must ingredient for pickles.
Vijayawada City Artist, Pamarthi Siva Naga Rao Creates Record, by carving 9-millimetre Ganesha sculpture on a chalk piece. His work is recognized by US-based records book Record-Setter.
Mr.Siva Naga Rao is a drawing teacher in Kanuru Zilla Parishad High School. Mr. Rao earlier painted an image of Buddha by substituting the painting brush with a roll of jute twine. His feat was recognised by the Telugu Book of Records. Mr. Rao is into micro art and has sculpted tiny endearing images using chalk, soap, pencil, lead, wax, rice grains and seeds of bitter gourd.
Mr.Siva Naga Rao also have a talent of painting using both right and left hand and even by clutching the painting brush with his mouth.
Minister for Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunatha Reddy moved into a house in Rain Tree Park in the capital region. The Minister along with his wife performed house warming puja on Wednesday. The Minister said that the Chief Minister had set June 15 as the deadline for the moving of the Secretariat from Hyderabad to Amaravati. He said that he is moving into the capital region acceding to the Chief Minister’s directive.
